  • Ok, so Bucknell has an RPI of 52, a SOS of 217, and 1 win against the top 50 (against LaSalle, who was one of the last 4 in), and gets an 11 seed.
Oregon has an RPI of 46, a SOS of 125, and 4 top 50 wins, and gets a 12 seed.

How does that make any sense at all?

It doesn't. There's literally no explanation for any of it. Belmont didn't even play a ranked team this year and got an 11 seed.

  • Since it's St. Patty's day, let me quote the illustrious house of pain,

TIme to "Put on your s%^ kickers and kick some s%^&".

Anyway, we are going to make a run and kick some tail. I'm pissed... both too much liquor and at the NCAA.

  • As much as I love Cinderella stories and underdogs, I think the committee went way overboard with the mid-major love this year.

  • I usually watch the entire selection show. After our seed was announced, I just turned it off.

  • You know I haven't looked yet, but I would guess ok st fans have to feel pretty pissed as well. They just got handed the toughest matchup possible for their seeding.

  • Better than an 8 or 9 seed

  • Under-valued and placed in the toughest bracket. We got shafted.

  • I honestly think the selection committee had a "SENIOR MOMENT". You know a dementia kind of thing. It's obvious they didn't pay much attention to Oregon and the Pac-12. Does Oregon have areas of weakness...yes but the persevered. The facts are this no matter what they think of Oregon, Oregon tied for second in the Pac-12 and was ranked in the top 25 for a large part of the year, and WON the Pac-12 Tournament.

I was listening to Sirius radio and a coach from the selection committee(I think Xavier) was on and talked about some teams that didn't get in but no mention on how they screwed Oregon's seating up.

Oh well just need to kick Oklahoma States ARSE!!!!!!! then they will have to talk about it.

If we beat OKIE STATE we have to play Saint Louis....not an easy game.

You have got to be kidding me. 26-8, tied for 2nd in the Pac-12 and won the Pac-12 tournament.

Bottom line: the committee totally ignored the Pac 12 tournament or we were on the outside looking in until perhaps as late as last night. This is a total travesty......East Coast bias in all its glory.

Probably has to do with our weak non-conference schedule too.

USC is like a german car, every piece that breaks is of the highest quality.

  • 6 seed: Ariz, 25-7 (12-6) 0-1 vs Oregon

    6 seed: UCLA, 25-9 (13-5) 0-2 vs Oregon

    10 seed: Colo 21-11 (10-8) 2-0 vs Oregon

    12 seed:Cal. 20-11 (12-6) 2-0 vs Oregon

    12 seed:Ore. 26-8 (12-6) Conference tournament Champion

The loss to Cal (48-46) at home on Feb. 21 really hurt us.

There were 4 close losses that really hurt.

    Dec 19. @ UTEP 91-84, 3OT

    Feb 2. @ CAL 58-54

    Feb 7. @Colo. 48-47

    Feb 21 VS CAL 48-46

Oregon was 5-3 in games decided by 5 points or less, and 4-1 against teams ranked in the Top-25.

Colorado State (25-8, 11-5 MWC) is an 8 seed after finishing 2nd in the Mountain West Conference and going 0-3 against ranked opponents. Middle Tennessee State and Belmont are 11 seeds.

  • While the Pac-12 conference is truly coming of age in football, there is an obvious outsider perpective that we play in a soft, second-rate wine and cheese conference. It's truly alarming and unsettling just how out of touch the selection committee is about how we roll out here.

They think we are weak-a** conference. Plain and simple. They don't value our wins. They don't vibe of our squads or pump up our highlights. No one knows our playmakers and no one has seen us in central or eastern time zones all year.

Know who has the Pac-12 network? It sure as s**ain't guys on Tobacco Road, up in Wisconsin or back in say, Bristol, Connecticut. They don't respect our game because they are all asleep when we play. They could care less that our bigest OOC win is against a tough but brittle Mountain West school in UNLV (who truly haven't gelled in David Rice's second year, BTW).

If I'm Oregon, I'm pissed. And when I take the floor next week, I rip the other teams to pieces and play fierce, fevered, fast flocking basketball to show the nation how Mighty Oregon rises to the challenge...

Flock U sends its best, committe s***-heads.

  • Okay, I'm over the 12 seed. I have a new gripe. The Midwest is probably the toughest region in the dance!

Memphis, Creighton, Michigan State, St Louis, Duke and the number 1 overall Louisville. Damn!
