Does anyone know if Dana Altman made a point of mining the international market for hoops talent while at Creighton? I love it. I'm a huge fan of the Saint Mary's program down in Moraga, California and they have LIVED and THRIVED on Australian basketball talent for many years. I think the Beavers women's basketball program has a really good Brazilian center right now as well. Keep it up Coach Altman!

Remember that German big man we brought in a few years ago who never really clicked with the bball program? He's dominating right now for Eastern Washington. He had 27 points 17 rebounds and 7 blocks against Cal State Northridge last week. Dang it, I'm glad to see he's doing well just wish we could have made it work here in Eugene.

So I found this interview and thought I would share. This seems like a pretty amazing young man. He comes from a very poor family that wasn't even able to provide shoes or clothing for him to play. He left home at age 15 to play basketball. It has been very tough for him being away from the family and friends but many people stepped in to help give him an opportunity to play basketball. His experience in Mexico with the Pan American games was his first chance to show off his abilities to those in other countries and play against some of the best players. He says he will be coming to the United States to play basketball at a University and has the dream of playing in the NBA.

Great info DN, and thx, just what the Duck's need a HUNGRY BIG, Kicking BUTT and taking name's, sound's like he is probably highly motivated to succeed and that's good for Altman and his staff. I'm telling you what the Duck's definitely can get great Coach's with great mind's and a sure fire eye for Talented Player's!
