  • I think Price is getting too much credit for his shredding of Baylor. They have one of the worst defenses I have ever seen. Thomas, who does it on the big stage, against good opponents, should get more love.

I do agree here as well since DT played terrific against much higher competition going blow-for-blow against Wilson (arguably playing better down the stretch) and a much better defense, and also outplayed Price head-to-head in Seattle.

Price did outplay Griffin in the Alamo Bowl and had an amazing game, but you'd have a hard time convincing me DT wouldn't have done the same thing to them. Both are great QBs though and Price is the biggest reason UW isn't sitting through more losing seasons right now.

  • Price had equal numbers to DT in his first year as a starter without as much help around him, especially on the O-line. Baylor game aside, kid can ball. If he was plugged into the ducks team he'd be amazing.

Price did way more with way less than DT...

I love DT but I think Price would put up equal if not better numbers than DT if he was at Oregon. Remember Oregon offered Price.

As for the article. I get that Barner is No. 10 overall but I think he could work himself into the top-6 or 7. I'd bet he passes DT.

Matt you're such a USC homer!

USC is like a german car, every piece that breaks is of the highest quality.

Price had way better receivers - Aguilar and ASJ were fine and Williams is a stud - and a good RB. Agreed that the Ducks by and large had a better and more efficient scheme and supporting cast (and a way better OL) but it's not like Price's cupboard was empty. Plus I noticed that Price tended to panic and rush under pressure (especially in our game) which is something DT doesn't do.

That being said, I'd put both guys at an equal level in terms of the skills they have as they both do certain things better than another, and no doubt Price has been what has kept the Doogs out of the cellar. I do love his game.

  • I would personally put Wilson a little higher. Kid is an absolute beast. Too bad he is stuck in Pullman, but he should have a Crabtree type year with Leach coming in.

  • Price is not even in the same league as Thomas and NO WAY should he be ahead of him. I would not trade Bennett for Price. Price was awful towards the end of the year and had 1 good game against a HS defense in Baylor. He also had great receivers and a 1000 yard RB ( which he wont have next year). From what I saw in the Army All Star game, not sure the new kid from Colorado wont beat him out.

Not trying to dog youra analysis - fun reading.

Of course not. We all know Bennett=Dan Marino 2.0.

  • Haha, man I don't get the man crush on Price. If he didn't have anything to work with at receiver this year, then what does that make what Thomas had to work with? DT is the ultimate gamer and is a phenomenal decision make who knows where to miss. He RARELY turns the balls over or takes a bad sack.

Why the hate for Bennett? All the kid does is win, for the Ducks.

All I know is I'd take Kasen Williams any day in a heartbeat.

And I wouldn't trade DT for anybody.

He passed for 3,000 yards with a 3-1 to INT ratio. There's a reason we tried to recruit him.

DT went nearly 5-1 on that ratio with below average receivers.

    Just sayin.

  • Yea, if this is ranked by importance, how come Darron Thomas isn't ranked ahead of Allen and Price? Give the guy some respect!

With a much better line and the best running game in the nation. And I'd take DAT and Paulson as far as receivers. Either way, what I said was in response to bowerz asking why people like him, not comparing him to DT. He took over for a top ten pick and was an upgrade. Pretty impressive for a first year starter.

  • Price is a baller. I hate the huskies as much or more than the next guy, but I can be realistic. Like someone else said, there's a reason the ducks wanted him.

Dude has already done more than 'Jesus Locker'

  • Doubt Woody would 1,500+ yards. Not with Marqise Lee on the other side.

Price isnt even in the same league as a decision maker as DT. Our offense is as much more about making the right decision than it is having a 65% completion rate. Im not saying Price isnt a good quarterback, but no way I put him above DT. No way.
