I don't know, I'd be more upset about a guy leaving on defense where we don't have depth. If DT leaves, it sucks, but I don't doubt Bennett's ability to be able to step up in his absence. Boyett would be a big hit. PAC-12 isn't a good league to be in with questions in the secondary. Losing both Boyett and Pleasant would sting big time.

Boyett would be another, but he already said he's coming back. Another possibility is Clay but I believe he already said he's back too.

Gotta be a transfer then, no way its a player to the NFL. Huff or Carson then. I only mention Carson because KB is coming back, LMJ just left and I know the Texas kids have struggled the most with being so far away from home.

Nah, DT leaving would be at the bottom of what I'd consider. Huff, Dion, Boyett, Clay, any of those guys would be way above.

My guess is Hoffman retiring due to concussions or Dior Mathis transferring. Mathis did lock is twitter account and I can't see it but next to his name it says undecided.

Yeah this was my thought as well. A transfer seems like the most logical situation

Doubt it's Hoffman, we already knew he'd probably have to retire. As for Mathis, if he went that's unfortunate but he's way back on the depth chart and I would understand if he didn't feel he could move up. Though it's awfully early for him.

I can actually see Huff transfering to somewhere like Houston or Texas Tech. He just won a Rose Bowl. Not saying he isn't a team player but right now he is all about NFL and goimg somewhere that throws the ball 500 times would be a smart choice for him. Not sure he will get a real look on the Ducks if he only catches 40-45 passes on a run heavy team.

It's early but everyone above him on the depth chart is young too. Makes sense for him to transfer now rather than sit on the bench another year.

It's not Mathis.. he's been tweeting pictures of him with other ducks and nothing about not being happy

I'm with you. These highly touted freshman that are used to being "THE GUY" and are now at the bottom of the pecking order. We saw it last year with the RB's. But at this point who knows.
