TEXT ALERTS - **Need Feedback**

  • UPDATE: I've been sending alerts out nearly daily, sometime even 2 or 3 a day if news calls for it. Is everyone getting them? How are they working? Do you like having a link in the alert itself? Please reply. Thx.

    Just FYI, I know a lot of you are not on twitter and don't use facebook for updates. From now through signing day I'm going to ramp up the text alerts and start using them for big (er) news... Which may not be just commits, but stories like Myles Jack and more.

    Point being, make sure you sign up for them ASAP so you can have the latest news dropped right into your cell as it breaks. (Good or bad)

    To take advantage of this offer, follow these steps.

    If you are an active ANNUAL subscriber to DuckTerritory, get text alerts by the following steps:
    #1. Click on the "My Account" link located at the top right in your home site horizontal navigation strip.
    #2. Enter your "username" and "password" to verify your account.
    #3. Click on the "Alerts" link located in the horizontal nav under "Settings"
    #4. Enter your active mobile number where you would like to receive the text alerts.
    #5. Check the box indicating which specific alerts you wish to receive.
    #6. Click "Save"

    If you are an active MONTHLY subscriber to DuckTerritory, get text alerts by the following steps:
    #1. First, you will need to UPGRADE your monthly subscription to an ANNUAL subscription.
    #2. Click the "Upgrade" link/tab located at the top right of the site. The upgrade box is marked in green.
    #3. Upgrade your account.
    #4. After completing the Upgrade process, you will need to sign up for text alerts.
    #5. Click on the "Alerts" link located in the horizontal nav under "Settings" (Located in the "My Accounts" section: See above)
    #6. Enter your active mobile number where you would like to receive text alerts.
    #7. Check the box indicating which specific alerts you wish to receive.
    #8. Click "Save"

    Remember, Text Alerts are available only to Annual subscribers to DuckTerritory and 247Sports.

    You simply have to upgrade your account from month to month to annual and then go into your settings and add your cell phone number to the text alert option. I highly encourage everyone to do this if you are thinking about this. It is an easy way to stay on top of info without having to constantly check your phone. We don't mass text and waste your money either. Big news hits and we send out a text.

    I like the feature, I'm on the board several times a day, so usually the texts follow me seeing the post(s). I think it's a great feature for the people who don't spend a much time on the board.
