I know from living in TX what it means for the longhorns to come calling. The Red River rivalry is a holiday down there towns go quiet people take the day off of work just to be at the game or host HUGE parties to watch the game. I lived in Ennis a little town SE of Dallas and MAN do the people down there LOVE there football and its not just a we love it but have no clue about the sport its the exact opposite these people not only LOVE it but they know it like a player does. Yes they have there loyalty to the Longhorns and there unconditional HATE for Oklahoma infact if you are a texas kid and you choose to go to Oklahoma OUCH I feel for the family because now you become a hated member of your community.

None of us know what that is like we have never sat through that or seen it but ask any TX kid on our roster and I will bet you any amount of money he will laugh and agree!!!!!

Point is this does not matter if your a 1* or a 5* a texas offer is exactly that the offer from the school your family has followed all of there lives. The school that every first year pop warner kid dreams of playing for when they grow up. So does this put a dent in us YES it does now its just a question of how much is his heart in on us?

Not everyone cares only about championships. I know when I was recruited I had a choice of playing for Oregon OR NEB, FSU, FL, Penn ST, MI yet I chose to stay home I of course wanted to be on the big stage but location and playing time where more important to me than a tittle.
