We're about 10 minutes away from tip-off here at Matthew Knight Arena as the Ducks look to move to 3-0 tonight as they take on the Vanderbilt Commodores. Pre-game:

*Doubt we'll have a sellout at Matt Knight Arena tonight, but the place is a buzz for this matchup between Oregon and Vandy.

First half:

*Great dish from Loyd to Woods for the slam and the foul. Woods goes to the shooting 1. FT good.
*Gotta say, very impressed with Tony Woods' improved touch around the basket this year. Developing into a legit weapon on offense. 5-3 UO.
*Standing "O" for Olympic gold medalist Ashton Eaton. Seems like we get one of these at least a couple times a year.
*Arsalan Kazemi now in the game for Oregon after getting his transfer waiver accepted by the NCAA.
*Loyd having a difficult time holding on to the ball right now. 2 turnovers in 2 possessions. 15-10 Oregon.
*Back-to-back threes by Dotson and Singler gives Oregon a 23-14 lead. Crowd starting to come alive.
*Singler fouled and hits the shot and will go to the line for 1. Altman subbing liberally right now. Missed the FT.
*Dotson AGAIN with a three and Oregon has doubled up Vandy, 28-14. Ducks shooting great in transition. Length an issue right now for Vandy.
*Kazemi very active on defense. Comes up with the steal by is called for double-dribble as he tries to wall off a Vandy defender.
*Leading scorers for Oregon right now: Singler 9, Woods 7, Dotson 6.
*Big dunk in transition from Dotson. Young Ducks showing a lot of energy in this first half. 2:25 left, 34-18 Oregon.
*Emory with a dunk now off a nice low post dish from Woods. Sharing is always caring.
*Loyd makes up for an airballed three with an alley oop to Kazemi. Matt Knight is excite. 38-20 Oregon.
*Great first half by Oregon is capped off by a Loyd bomb before the first half buzzer sounds. 41-20 Ducks at halftime. Wow.

Haltime:

*E.J. Singler leads all scorers with 12 points. Woods 8, Dotson 8.
*In his first game as a Ducks, Kazemi has been doing all the dirty work, leading the team with 5 rebounds and providing boundless energy.
*Oregon shooting an even 50% from the field as a team. Vanderbilt on the other hand is struggling. 27.2 percent.
*Ducks also assisting on 12 of 16 buckets. The Commodores as a team have only 2 assists. Not an early formula for success for Vandy.

Second half:

*Mark down another steal for Kazemi. Guy has gotta be annoying to play against...relentless, always in your grill.
*Loyd out after picking up his 3rd foul. Artis comes in along with Ben Carter, who subs in for Kazemi.
*Vandy coach Kevin Stallings just got T'ed up. Singler will go to the line to shoot two...aaand now Stallings has been ejected...Bad night getting worse for Vanderbilt.
*Singler goes 3 of 4 from the line and Oregon will have the ball. 44-25 Oregon, 15:50 left.
*Excellent ball movement on that last possession from Oregon. Singler buries a three right before the shot clock sounds. 47-29 Oregon.
*If Oregon can get Damyean Dotson to play this well for the entire season, Ducks could be a force to be reckoned with. 10 points for DD.
*Singler leads all scorers with 18. Dotson with 10.
*Something off about Emory early this season. Mirroring the way he played early last season...out of sync.
*Holy #*&%...Loyd to a streaking Emory for a reverse jam on the alley-oop. That was insane. 60-40 Oregon. Emory now making me look bad. Has 9 points.
