After winning the Pac-12 Tournament Oregon is ranked in both the AP and coaches poll. It is the first time Oregon is ranked going into the NCAA Tournament since '07

  • I actually like our chances against Oklahoma State. I think we match up well at the guard spots. The key to the game lies with the big men though, including Kazemi. Woods needs to be playing like he was mid season and Kazemi needs to continue to out hustle people.

I'm really excited about this opportunity.

I'm worried about the 6'4 225lb conference player of the year at point against our 6'1 and 5'10 points, both probably outweighed by 50+lbs.

I like the match up but we have to contain Smart.

  • I wouldnt be surprised if Dotson guards Smart.

I could see us use several looks against Smart, including putting Singler or Emory on him.

Smart is going to get his. As long as we play our game; being the aggressors, exploiting mismatches, out working them for rebounds and loose balls, and playing tenacious defense that leads to fast break points, I think like our chances.

Across the board, Oregon is the deeper more talented team.

  • I think we've got an excellent chance of sweet 16 if we can beat OSU... Saint Louis would be hard but they don't have the atheletes to guard Woods

I would be surprised if he didn't. I am litterally afraid if what he could do to Loyd and Artis. Smart is a wrecking ball. Contain him and win. It's that simple IMO.

Was thinking the same thing but to be honest I don't know enough about ok state to know if that's a better match up for our point.

You guys are probably right that there will be a few guys watching Smart.

  • Ducks are tough on D, so set feet and get Smart in foul trouble early. Or, lock down on everyone else, run them ragged, keep TOs down, and let Smart try to win it by himself. Unlike with Smart, Ducks balanced attack gives OSU no one to key on.

  • I just HOPE Oregon is ready to play light's out BB thursday against Okie St. It would bring a lot of confidence to them and a Win against St Louis would certainly make it possible to beat Louisville in the Sweet 16. Then maybe we get Arron Gordon's SIGNATURE on the 3rd. Ha!

Just put Emory on him. What do you guy's think?

Were talking about 1 player. If that's the case I'm not to worried about Oregon reaching 32. I'm sure Coach has already got the Game plan, and If we play D like the Tourney I just don't think 1 Guard is capable of beating us. We should win the 1st two Game's because were the better Team. Now Louisville would be a Historic Win but not impossible.

  • They've gotta try and get Smart into foul trouble. Artis and Loyd probably aren't going to be able to guard him that well so we need to force him into bad decisions instead or attack him on the offensive end.
