Why no investigation into other schools using Lyles?

  • Wasn't it reported that other schools, such as LSU, Texas AM, etc., also payed Lyles for "scouting information"? Why aren't they being investigated by the NCAA? I guess this is the price you pay for challenging the SEC/Big 12 on a national stage and taking their recruits. First USC went down. Then Boise State. Now Oregon. How dare us west coast schools win major bowl games.

Last spring both LSU and Cal got looked into for using his service. I don't remember the exact amount but the both paid 5 to 7k for his services. Both schools turned over the information they received from him and also made it public.

Why do we need so many threads on the same topic?

  • Lyles actually does run a fairly legit scouting service, but I think for the right price, he will use his connections in a wrongful manner.

His service was actually termed not 'legit' by the NCAA so I'm not sure why you think it's 'fairly legit'

  • i think it's because oregon spent like 25,000 or something like that while the other schools paid like 2,000 to 6,000 or around there so think Oregon is getting profiled more because Oregon paid so much money all in all i don't really know lol

Actually he ran it lazy, and didn't conform to everything the NCAA wants to see. If he had ran it the way it should have been we wouldn't be in this mess right now no matter how much we paid for the services.
