  • To use a Kiffin analogy, why not build a wall around the West Coast and make sure we keep these 5 * kids close to home. I'd say any of the 5* DTs would be my first choices, but gotta put Zach Banner as close to the top as possible...Also the OL from AZ. We should have the kids and inroads down there to make that happen. I think with our stable of cornerbacks and production into the NFL, those guys are gonna naturally be looking at us and coming up to Eugene. Wasn't there another highly rated west coast CB (Tee Shephard maybe)? 3 BIG strong DTs next year to start though.

    Question for anyone: What sort of mix do we try to take next year...i.e. how many DTs, OLs, WRs, RBs, DBs, etc? Be interested to see some early projections here.

    My guess:
    2 QB's
    1 RB
    2 WR's
    1 TE
    4 OL
    --------
    10 Offensive Players

    4 DL (at least 2 DT's)
    2 LB's
    4 DB's
    -------
    10 Defensive Players

    Class size of about 20.

  • We are currently set at special teams. We are also loaded at te, lb and rb currently. But things change.

    Dt --- 2-3
    De ---2-3
    Lb ---maybe 2
    Db --- 2-3

    Ath --- 3-4 we like em

    Wr --- 2
    Rb --- 1
    Qb -- 2
    Ol --- 4

    We often opt for athletes and fit them in. So they can cover numerous positions.

    USC is like a german car, every piece that breaks is of the highest quality.
