gang green, i know you are not pleased with the outcome of the game just like the rest of us. But I can't say that I'm very dissapointed in Chip. We lost, and I believe we beat our selves, too many TO's. In terms of not winning on a national stage, we just shut the door on the PAC 10 with a 12-0 record. I do recall their were a couple of games on the national stage. Now do we need to take the next step and complete it all by winning a BCS championship......sure, but so do like 100+ other programs. We will all be ok when it's all said and done.

Not the best effort and vanilla play calling by Chip. Its hard to mix it up when you can't run your base stuff though. CK didn't fumble it 4 times though and that's what cost us the game.

GG just take a night to relax and don't worry. We'll come back next week, kick Nevada's ass and focus on making all right with the world again.

I guess forever for you is not that far back. Do you remember the Bob Berry, Mel Renfro team losing to Texas in austin (that would have been considered the big stage in the day)? Do you remember Oregon losing to Notre Dame in south Bend? Again, big stage. How about Oregon losing the Rose Bowl to Penn State in 1995? Big Stage. Cotton Bowl 1996 a loss to Colorado. 1949 Cotton Bowl loss to SMU.

Since 1947 Oregon has lost on the big stage to Texas 3 times, lost to Nebraska 5 times, lost to Ohio State 7 times, lost to Notre Dame once, lost to Oklahoma 6 times, lost to Penn St. three times, lost to Wisconsin 3 times, lost to BYU twice, and single games to Missouri, Georgia, Purdue, LSU and Michigan St. all once.

My point is, many coaches have failed on the national stage, Kelly has gotten us further than any of them and he has only 5 losses in 2 plus seasons. Unheard of by past Oregon's standards.

Ya,, forever isn't that far back I guess since im 30.. Im born and raised here pal so don't question my love for the ducks! and I guess my dad playing for oregon Dont matter either..... my point was simply that here recently we haven't won the "big" games...u can make excuses all u want ... chip is the right coach that will lead oregon to a national championship... he can have some criticism tho, he ain't above that

I found no fault in Chip the whole game, other than I've never been a big fan of the visor. One can blame penalties and turnovers on a head coach, but not in this game, in my view. Most all of the instances of gridiron malpractice tonight were self-inflicted, solo efforts, and it was these things that made the difference.

Let's now look to game #2.

Ya its just stupid dickheads havta ruin our ratings for nothing... I could see if me or u said stuff so far out of wack where we deserved it but I guess having our own opinions is to much for some of these jokers on this site!

Pull your head out, you can call out someone for a bad performance without calling for their job. If you think the coaching staff did a great job, well then we are going to differ on opinions. The staff rolls with the guys they think are the best fit, the staff calls the plays for the team to execute, if the plays dont work, or the players dont execute, then the job being done isnt up to snuff.

We have talked on this board about how DT did not run the ball and create in the NCG, well we saw that again tonight. Two possessions DT was able to run from the spread sets, we scored on both possessions, one was in garbage time, so it doesnt really carry the same weight, but if you think the play calling was good, then we watched two different games IMHO. Golshapin and Weems were terrible. Weems was terrible in the RB two years ago as well. The left hand side of our Oline was non-existent. DT threw the ball 50+ times for gods sake!

Those reasons, among others, is why i think the play calling was piss poor.
